Luciano Vaz Ferreira is a professor of international relations at the Graduate Program in Aerospace Sciences at the University of Air Force (UNIFA) and at the Federal University of Rio Grande (FURG), Brazil. He holds a PhD in International Strategic Studies from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS) and a postgraduate diploma in cybersecurity from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul (PUCRS). He was a visiting scholar at the Center for Latin American and Latino Studies at the American University, USA. Previously, Luciano worked as an analyst in the area of justice and security at the State Government of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. His research interests involve cybersecurity, cyber defense, international security, defense industry and civil-military relations.
